Dennis O'Donnell and crew were out for a mixed bag trip from Montauk today. Called the trip early due to the rough sea conditions but the guys made the best of it with some decent iamond jigging with good numbers of blues and stripers over the rails.
Sat 11/7
Capt. Joel has the boat back up in Snug harbor for Nov. and Dec. to take advantage of a hot tog bite and 8 fish per man regs. jim Luccente and pals made the trek and were not disappointed. Fishing in 70 feet of water the gys had well over 7o keepers over the rails. High hook was Pat with 18. The tally had 8 fish over 8 pounds with the largest at 10 pounds,

Wed 10/21
Sea otter IV sailed from Montauk with Kieth Haberman and crew aboard. The guys diamond jigged their limit of stripers to 18 pounds and had really good action on the blues. Switching to sea bass they had a fair bite gong in the afternoon.
Thurs 10/22
Bill Connolly and friend headed east today for som diamond jigging action. Nabbing thier limit they nailed stripers to 18 pounds. There was plenty of bluefish action going on to keep reels turning.
Fri 10/23
Brian and John Minsky had a bunch of guys out to brave some tough seas. In spite of that they nailed their striper limi and caught a pile of blues as well diamond jigging. Paul, the jigging machine, was high hook and brought the largest bass over the rails.
Sea Otter IV will be in Montauk through Election Day and then up to Snug Harbor RI to take advantage of those Tog regs! For charter info please call the office at 860 739-1882

Sat 10/11
Ken mccloud and a gang from Colonial Medical Supply fished with Captain Joel for a 1/2 day charter from Groton today. It was a mixed bag with blues, stripers porgies and tog! Nacy was "queen" of the bluefish fore the morning while Steve Kreuser was high hook on porgies and he nailed the first keeper striped bass. Very good keeper action throughout. Peter was high hook on Tog.

Tues 10/6
Mike Conolly and family were out today to try their luck at Striped bassing. Very good day - using live eels they pilled us some nice striperswith some over the rails between 35 1nd 41 pounds. denny scored with the 41 pounder.

Unfort. a few cancellations this week due to weather!
Thurs 10/1
Greg Mogil and friends were out aboard Sea Otter IV with Captain Joel today. They started out catching some porgies and even Greg was able to contribute!
They switched to stripers and some blues. They ended with 15 keeper striped bass to 34 pounds.
Sun 10/5
Denise Kawalski and family headed out to Montauk for a half day fishing trip. Using live eels they had a nice run of dtripers ending with 16 keepers. Denise nailed the largest at 40 pounds with a 38 pounder taking second place honors.
Capt. Joel will have Sea Otter IV in Montauk and Groton through end of Oct. Some open weekend dates are Sun 10/11, Sat 10/17 and Sun 10/18. Call 860 739-1882 for reservations.

Wed 9/23
Krispy Kreme Nagel and friends headed out east for striped bass fishing. Starting the day the guys boated a bunch of porgies. By the end of the day a decent striper bite turned on and 16 keeprs were over the rails to 26 pounds.
Thurs 9/24
Alan Preiss and crew were out to work the bass bite. Great start of porgie action. Jimmy christened his new pole with 3 keeper bass. Picky bite but the boat reeled in its limit to close out the day.
Fri 9/25
Andy and the guys from Arrow Tree Service were back for their annual Sept. fishing trip. The day began with trolling for stripers and blues. to escape the wind condition they switched gears to bottom fishing. Over the rails sailed a very good mixed bag of sea bass to 5 pounds, porgies to 4 pounds and a bunch of trigger fish also weighing to 4 pounds,
Sat 9/26
Brian Minsky headed out with a great bunch of guys for his annual Sept retun to the mecca. It was a tough start for live baiting bass. Switching to bottom fishing proved successful with a load of sea bass to 4 pounds as well as a mess of porgies and trigger fish. Jim and Brian earned high hook honors with a dozen keeper sea bass each.

Sat 9/19 and Sun 9/20
Earl Harris and friends were out for the weekend aboard Sea Otter IV for some mixed bag fishing with Captain Joel out of Snug Harbor.
Saturday the sea bass fishing was fantastic. The gang saw a few hundred sail over the rails with weighs to 5 1/2 pounds. They also enjoyes some terrific porgie action with the scale tipping in at 3 1/2 pounds.
Sunday they enjoyed some more fabulous sea bassing and some excellent porgie action. Switching to stripers the largest weighed in at 31 pounds. Ron Jr. scored with his first ever a very nice 25 pounder.
Sea otter Iv heads back to Montauik and Groton for the month of October but will be back in Snug harbor for November to take advantage of the much anticipated blackfish season. For private charter reservations please call the offie at 860 739-1882.

We now accept VISA and MASTERCARD for NIGHT and FULL DAY trips only when reservations are required.
A valid credit card is required to hold a reservation for a full day or night bass trip. By giving us your credit card number you are insuring a spot on the boat for yourself as well as guaranteeing us that you will arrive.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellation of reservations less than 24 hours prior to trip will be charged in full.
NO SHOWS are charged in full.
ALCOHOL POLICY:
Hard alcohol NOT permitted.
Limit 6 beers per passenger on full day trips.
Cans only. NO BOTTLES!
Up to 3 beers on night trips or GO DRY!
Drink responsibly!
Captain reserves the right to inspect coolers and cut you off at any time. If you arrive at the boat with a reservation and are inebriated and/or under any illegal influence you will NOT be permitted to board and you will be charged the full fare. Arrive in that state without a reservation - PICK ANOTHER BOAT because you will not be given permission to board!
Safety and a good time for all takes precedence.
ITS ALL ABOUT THE FISHING!!!
NO personal GPS/Loran devices permitted on boat.
We are NOT responsible for personal belongings left on vessels.
CHARTERS:
A 50% deposit is required to hold reservations on all charters.
In the event of unsafe weather conditions, the captain reserves the right to cancel the trip and reschedule to another date. The 50% deposit will carry over to the new trip date.
If agreement of a replacement date cannot be met, then your deposit will be refunded. Deposits are NOT refundable when the customer cancels the trip.
